Whatsapp may be installed on the Samsung Wave Y or 525 device. Currently the Wave is running on BADA OS. This has made it difficult and confusing for Samsung Wave users to figure out how to download the app onto their devices. Below is a brief tutorial on how these users might install the app.

First, there are two files that need to be downloaded onto your computer. the first file to be installed is, .jar file, the second is, .exe file
Next, the device will need to be connected to the computer via the USB port on your computer using the USB cable.
After that, transfer the two files to your Wave or 525 device by moving or copying them.
When that has been completed disconnect the USB cable from the computer and/or the device.
Finally, be sure to restart your mobile device and install the two files that were copied to your device. Whatsapp should now be ready to use.

There is a way to use Whatsapp without using a cell phone number and it does not require the use of a SIM card. Follow these steps:
The very first thing you will need to do is install the Spoof for android devices. this must be the very first thing you do in order for this process to work. Then uninstall WhatsApp and the re-install the app. Once you have done that a verification will ask you for your mobile phone number. Set your device to flight mode. Because you are not using a cell phone number to complete the verification process, you must choose an alternative way to do it. SMS will work nicely. Put in your email information and click send. The very second you click send, you must also click cancel to end the verification process. Open the Spoof app and input this information:

Message: Your email address
The verification code should then be sent to your Spoof app. Once you have received the verification code you can then use to verify your Whatsapp account. Success!
There is also a way to hide your cell phone number when participating in Group Messaging. The steps are as follows.
First install Spoof Messages. Uninstall and re-install Whatsapp. Follow the instructions given above. Once that process is completed then copy the data from your outbox into the spoof app and send it. Use this information once again:
