How To Install WhatsApp On Your T-Mobile MyTouch 3G
The MyTouch 3G from T-Mobile is a beautifully designed smart phone that runs on the Android operating system with blazing-fast speed. Although this phone has since been discontinued, users still enjoy a plethora of apps, games and pieces of software that can improve their lives and how they interact with their friends and family.
One of the most popular apps on the market today is WhatsApp; an application that allows you to communicate internationally without the accumulation of roaming charges and fees! Located below is a step-by-step guide on how to install the application on your MyTouch.
Step 1
The first step in downloading the WhatsApp application is finding it on your device’s marketplace. Android, unlike other operating systems like iOS found the iPhone, uses a marketplace called Google Play. This marketplace is powered by the engineers at Google and has all of your favorites apps, music, games and other productive software creations.
Once inside of the Google Play framework, search for WhatsApp inside of the marketplace and you will soon see a green icon with WhatsApp Inc. written below the avatar. Tap the icon and the Google Play framework will begin downloading the WhatsApp application onto your phone’s operating system for future use.
Similarly, you can also download the application by browsing to WhatsApp.com through the web browser located on your device. Once here you can choose the “download” option contained on the screen and your device will begin the download of the application. A message box will prompt you and ask for permission to install the software onto your MyTouch 3G!
Step 2
Once the application has been installed on your MyTouch 3G, it’s time to setup the app for further use. First-time users will be prompted with a Terms and Agreements page that contains all of the pertinent information about the application as well as privacy policies and how the company uses user data.
Once accepted, the user will be asked to choose his or her country as well as input their current cell phone number. This will allow the WhatsApp system to synchronize with your device in order to communicate with others.
You will also be given the opportunity to choose a name and avatar that will be displayed to your recipients.
