Whatsapp for YouWaveWith the WhatsApp’s popularity on the rise, word of mouth quickly spreads and it wouldn’t be uncommon that you’ve heard the name of the app at least once in the last few months.

People have been turning to it as a major sign of help for communicating with friends and family, and it’s most importantly free to all its users. No gimmicks and no sneaky charges that will come once you give the users your credit card information upon signing up. So this proposes the question, is it available on my platform, and if so, where do I get it for my every day use?

WhatsApp is most popular on models that fall under the Android and iPhone user category, but is also virtually available on pretty much any platform you can think of, even PC or MAC. Indeed if , for any reason, the official version of Whatsapp doesn’t work on your phone, smart phones or tablets, you still have an option: using Whatsapp on your computer by installing Bluestacks or, a much better program called “YouWave”.

What isWave? It’s an Android “emulator” for PC. The advantage of this software, compared to the famous Bluestacks, is that it requires only 1 GB of RAM instead of 2 GB. The only downside is that it’s not free (it costs $19.99). So before purchasing, to see if YouWave is for you, I suggest to download first the trial version (which lasts 10 days). Then, after fully testing it, you can easily decide whether to buy it or to move to free Bluestacks alternative.

How to install Whatsapp on YouWave
First of all, download YouWave from this link. After installing YouWave on your Pc, you will need to install WhatsApp by manually dowloading and installing the apk file. However I suggest not download the Apk since, it’s much easier to install Whatsapp directly through the emulator. How? Simply run YouWave and then start load the Android browser (not your Pc browser!) and go straight to the Google Store. That’s a much quicker, easier and safer alternative then manually installing the Apk file.

Once installation is complete, start the application as you would normally do on your Android device. Check the phone number in use, so that WhatsApp functions smoothly. From this point you can use WhatsApp on Windows PCs with YouWave just like you do on your smartphone. Please also remember that Whatsapp can not work in two devices simultaneously (PC and mobile phone). If you use Whatsapp through YouWave, then cell phone must be turned off or Whatsapp uninstalled. As of my personal experience I must say that the emulation layer offered by Youwave is excellent. It’s very robust, stable and, more than that, YouWave offers the following benefits:

To create a group on you Nokia, just launch the application and under the chats button, select “new group”. Then go to participants, and select the friends you want to add to your group chat. After the invitations, go to create and your chat group should be ready to go. All your friends in your phone should link into your WhatsApp account. Some things to keep in mind with the product is to make sure you have a supported carrier. Some users using Nokia phones may not use the main carriers such as Verizon or AT&T, and it’s possible to encounter issues since data service is provided by the carriers, depending also on the Country you live: indeed, as said before, the official Nokia X2-01 Whatsapp version is not yet supported by Vodafone in Portugal and VIVO in Brazil. On the plus side, when traveling internationally, WhatsApp is always the best (and cheapest) alternative to communicate, as texting rates can skyrocket when messaging intercontinental.

Its operation is very simple, thanks to what is a good and perfect substitute for SMS and MMS, however, free. The growth of the service was very fast and when the threshold of 450 million users took place the turning point for a total value of $ 16 billion, Facebook acquired WhatsApp bringing the two communities under the same roof.

What is WhatsApp and how to use it
The app works to send SMS and MMS and allows to send / receive text messages, sounds, voice notes, videos, photographs, notes and contact information to other users (individual or group) who use the same service. The only requirement is to have a compatible phone, have an internet connection always active – better with an unlimited data plan – and the recipients have installed precisely the same app. All WhatsApp accounts are linked to the mobile number of the person receiving the service: the address book remains absolutely private and no other user can have access to his/her contacts.

What is needed to use Whatsapp?
Besides having a compatible smartphone, Whatsapp requires access to the Internet in order to exchange content with other contacts: you must have a data plan and you should take advantage of the Wi-Fi network (when we are near a hotspot). Telegram-VS-WhatsappIt sounds like an interesting duel. These 2 instant messaging apps are very similar but, at the same time, very different. The first (Whatsapp) needs no introduction as it can be considered the forerunner of the genre, while the second (Telegram) is less known but is quickly gaining market share worldwide. In this article we will compare the two applications to provide a yardstick for all those who must choose between the two alternatives. This comparison will take place on 5 basic features of each app, starting from the price, through the privacy and security up to the popularity in terms of users. Also it will be analyzed aspects concerning the sending of files and availability of these services on various types of devices, desktop and mobile. Let’s start from the price.

PRICE
WhatsApp was born as a free application, and this is one of the reasons that made it the most famous software between the instant messaging programs. From 2013, however, WhatsApp has become to charge an annual fee after free 12 months for which you will have to buy the annual subscription. The purchase price is not excessive as it costs just $1 cents for all mobile operating systems, except for iPhone which costs $1.2 cents. Instead Telegram is completely free, at least for the moment, despite offering a service very similar to WhatsApp.

PRIVACY
Telegram uses a type of encryption based on the concept of end-to-end, which makes it particularly safe for conversations, especially with regard to the aspect of privacy and hacker attacks. This technology makes sure that the messages of conversations are saved directly on the phones and not on a server and this offers a better data security guarantee. Also a special function allows you to set a timer that automatically deletes all data from a conversation after a certain time. WhatsApp do not have this type of technology, but all data is stored on the servers of the company, making it especially vulnerable to attack by hackers.

SENDING FILES
As for sending files, there are several difference between the two products. Telegram supports sending extremely large files that can be up to 1.5GB while his antagonist WhatsApp can send messages only up to 160 Mb. This ratio of one to ten, is quite embarrassing! Among other things, the reason for the success of this type of application lies in the possibility to send messages with audio files, and video images in real time. Again, while Telegram can send any type of file, WhatsApp, at the moment we write, can send only media files.

COMPATIBILITY
