As you surely know, WhatsApp is today one of the most popular messengers, working on smartphones and tablets of all operating systems. Like all messenger, sometimes you may need to change your status to avoid to be disturbed or to tell your contacts, in real time, what you are doing.

WhatsApp’s status is simply the sentence that appears next to our name in the contact list of friends. Just like the profile picture, it must be something that represent us. Let’s see together how to change it according to your mood or activity. You wake up in the morning and you feel very happy. Or rather, you feel tired and grumpy. Or you just feel that you want to give space to your poetic soul. So you’ve decided to express your mood on WhatsApp changing your status. Let’s see the procedure you can follow. It is extremely simple and fast.

First of all open WhatsApp and click on the button with the three dots at the top right; then click Status. At this point you will see the image or the text that you were using so far as your status. Now, click on the pencil shaped icon next to your old status. Choose an icon from the emoticons’ menu or type a sentence that represent you! WhatsApp also offers you a range of preset status that may be useful in some specific occasions. Among them: At work, in a meeting and battery low. But remember, the change of status may not be immediate.

How can you change your status on a Blackberry or on an iPhone iOS? Open the App of WhatsApp and go to “Status”. Select one of the available status in the list or, if the status you want is not available, you can add one using the “+” symbol that can be found at the top right of the display. If you do not like the status available in the Application, you can always edit them with the appropriate key “change”.

Android: You can find the WhatsApp status for Android in the Chat screen. Touch the menu button and select the status you prefer. As with iOS and Blackberry, you can edit or add a status.

Nokia S60 / Symbian: Even with Nokia Symbian smartphones you can set, change or add a default status going in the Status screen. You can choose one from the predefined list or add one by going to Options and then New status.

Windows Phone: open WhatsApp and go to the three dots “…” that you will find in the lower right of the screen. From here you can access to “my status”. Touch the text box below the status and edit the content as you prefer.

Its huge success is certainly given by the great possibilities offered by this application. However, due to a continuous annoying texting, you could be forced to delete your account from that application. But what is the correct way to remove your account from WhatsApp? How can you proceed using the correct procedure? First of all make sure you have at hand a mobile phone with internet connection. To delete a WhatsApp Messenger account from an Android phone you will have to: open WhatsApp, open the “Settings” menu and then “delete my account”. Simply enter the phone number with the international area code (for example +44 for UK) and proceed with the removal.

To delete an account from an iPhone WhatsApp Messenger, you must ensure that you have installed on your iPhone the latest version of WhatsApp Messenger. Otherwise you’ll have to proceed with the installation of any available updates before completing the removal of your account. At this point, open WhatsApp, select “Settings”, then “chat settings” and then click on “delete my account”. Enter the phone number together with the international code and proceed with the deletion.

To delete a WhatsApp Messenger account from a BlackBerry, as for the iPhone, you must ensure that you have installed on your BlackBarry the latest version of WhatsApp Messenger. Otherwise, proceed with the installation of the available updates before completing the procedure. Open WhatsApp, select “settings” then “delete my account”. Enter the phone number (always with the international code too) and then complete the removal.

If you need to delete a WhatsApp Messenger account from a Nokia, you have to open WhatsApp, click “options”, then on “info”, “Account Info” and again on “options” and “delete account”. Again, enter the phone number with the international code too, then select “Continue” and “delete account”.

Warning: never forget! The elimination of the account is an irreversible process that will result in the loss of the entire message history and the elimination of all groups.

All you need to do is select a video, press the share icon and choose the friend or the group you want to send it to. If you use an Android smartphone and you want to submit a video, you just have to open the conversation where the video you want to share is and hold your finger on its preview for a couple of seconds. As mentioned earlier, WhatsApp allows you to share within the chats even YouTube videos. The latter, however, unlike the videos uploaded directly from your smartphone, will not be played directly inside the app. In fact, they are displayed as a link that, when selected, allows you to watch the video on YouTube. To submit a YouTube video on WhatsApp, open the YouTube app on your smartphone, find the video you want to share, launch it and press the share icon that is located in the upper right corner (the one with the three dots linked together by a line).

Now, if you use an Android smartphone, you have to select the icon of WhatsApp, choose the contact (or group) you want to send the video link, and you’re done. If you’re using an iPhone, you have to select the Copy link from the menu that appears, then you have to open WhatsApp, choose the discussion where to share the video and paste the link copied before (if you do not know how to do it, just hold your finger for a couple of seconds in the message composition bar and select Paste from the menu that appears).

Finally, I remind you that you can share on WhatsApp also videos you’ve saved on your phone memory: the ones you have saved with the smartphone’s camera but also those you’ve downloaded from the Internet. If you use Android, just type the staple icon located at the top right, select Gallery from menu that appears and choose the video you want to upload on WhatsApp from the Gallery. If you use an iPhone you just have to press the arrow icon located in the lower left corner and select Choose existing video from the menu that appears.
