Recently WhatsApp developers have released several major updates available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices. So WhatsApp users can now enjoy more options such as the new Status feature or the Two Step Verification security feature, just to mention the most recent of them.

But WhatsApp users, at least Windows Phone users, probably don’t remember that with an update added in December, the iPhone platform of WhatsApp received a very useful feature wich allows WhatsApp users to cancel or edit an already sent message. However, this Unsend feature works only if the recipient of the message has not yet read the message and, furthermore, you need to remember that you have 29 minutes to recall your message.

Well, according to WABetaInfo this new Unsend option has been added also to the 2.17.94 Beta version of the app for Windows Phone devices. Isn’t it great? So, if you want to install this latest version of WhatsApp on your Windows Phone device, you can already download it from the Windows Store.

The popularity of the Facebook-owned app seems unstoppable, and it is a fact that WhatsApp is now the most popular instant messaging service in the world. But despite this success, there is a recent statistic that will really astonish you.

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Google Play Store, Google has just  published the list of the best-selling apps, movies, games, books and music in the US. And that’s what we didn’t expect: WhatsApp is not on the top step of the podium. The full list shows at the top Facebook (obviously), followed by Facebook Messenger, Pandora Radio, Instagram and Snapchat.

However, watching carefully these Google statistics, it appears that WhatsApp is more successful outside of the United States, for example in the UK, where WhatsApp helds firmly the top position, followed by Facebook Messenger.
