WhatsApp for iPhone: the new version 2.12.10 has already been released and brings more improvements

iOS quick replyAfter just one week  since the release of the last update, another interesting new version of WhatsApp is available for iPhone users. Actually, version 2.12.10 for iOS improves the “quick reply” feature that was introduced with the previous version.

For those who are not yet using iOS 9 or 9.1, or who have simply missed the update, let’s recap what is the Quick Reply function. This feature allows users to reply immediately to WhatsApp messages without opening the app, but straight from the notification. The feature is not completely new, since it was already introduced with the release of iOS 8, but until now it was possible to use it only with Apple’s app.

So, what really changes with version 2.12.10 for iOS 9.1 (or higher)? Essentially a couple of things. First of all, as we said above, now you can quickly reply to messages directly from notifications (iOS 9.1+). But how? Simple: by dragging down a notification to type your message. And that’s not all.

In fact, and here comes the second novelty, to this wonderful option it has been added another one equally useful and nice. In fact, with version 2.12.10, you will be able to reply to your incoming WhatsApp calls with a message straight from the call notification (iOS 9+). Isn’t it helpful? Just imagine the time that you can save when you are having one of those days and you are bombarded of messages and calls.

Therefore, it seems worthwhile to upgrade your device with this last updated version 2.12.10 of WhatsApp for iPhone, which you can download for free from the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/whatsapp-messenger/id310633997.

But stay on your toes, since rumours report that more changes are coming soon. That’s exciting considering that WhatsApp Messenger already allows you to send and receive messages, photos, calls, videos and Voice Messages. And, last but not least, let’s not forget that the first year is completely free.

WhatsApp for iPhones: iOS 9.1 introduces the “Quick Reply” function and many new emojis

iOS 9 1Here we are again talking about another important WhatsApp update. Step by step, this popular instant messaging application (more than 900 million active users) that accompanies our days is improving and we got used to see it updated frequently. Today we are going to discover the last update available for iPhone users who have already installed iOS 9.1 on their devices.

This new upgrade brings a great new useful feature: the Quick Reply function. This new functionality allows iPhone users to reply immediately to WhatsApp messages. Yes, now, thanks to Quick Reply, when you receive a message you don’t need anymore to open the app, but you can finallly respond directly from the notification. Actually iPhone users know that the Quick Reply feature already existed, as it was introduced when iOS 8 was released, but so far it was possible to use it only with Apple’s app.

With the roll out of  iOS 9 things have changed a lot, and now the Quick Reply feature is available also for other instant messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Skype. And that’s not all. If you appreciate the Quick Reply feature you may enjoy it even more with iPhone 6 or iPhone 6SPlus, where it is available with 3d Touch support.

But the good news don’t end here since iOS 9.1 brought other significant upgrades: Live Photos (which does not allow the camera to capture images if the iPhone has sudden movement), for example, and more than 150 new emojis.

But besides these really great news, iPhone users must remember that the WhatsApp Quick Reply feature can be downloaded only if they own the iOS 9.1 version, or, alternatively, another platform that runs on it. So, if you are eager to use these new features, it seems you don’t have any other choice than installing this new version on your iPhone device.

Another update for WhatsApp for Windows Phone

windows phone 2 12 180Starting from today there is a new version of WhatsApp available on the Windows Phone Store. In fact version 2.12.180 has just been released and it is available to be downloaded. What other changes brings this new version, after the important updates introduced only last week?

If with the last version we’ve seen the improvement of the search function together with the introduction of new emoji (for the joy of every Windows Phone user it is know possible to use the middle finger emoji) and the support for in-app notification sounds, with this new version 2.12.180 there seem to be just minor updates and bug fixes. But still it is quite necessary for Windows Phone users to keep their devices updated to run them smoothly. So, if you are convinced and you decide to download this new version, you simply have to click on this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/whatsapp/9wzdncrdfwbs?tduid=

The developers of WhatsApp have really a lot to do to stay on top and to face the competition of all the other instant messaging apps. Not to mention to fulfill their users needs. In fact, if today we’ve talked about the latest Windows Phone update, WhatsApp developers have to think about Android, iOS, BlackBerry and iPhone too, since WhatsApp is widely used also on these OS. And lately there are rumours about a huge improvement for Android devices.

According to these whispers a new feature which will enable users to share their documents will soon be released. At first the option will be available only for pdf and word documents, but it is possible that other extensions will be included. So far you can not share your documents via WhatsApp with your contacts, you just can send a screenshot of the text. So, let’s wait and see. Surely we won’t have to wait to much for more updates.

WhatsApp: new download available for Nokia Asha

nokia asha beta 2.13.9WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging application, has just released a new beta version for Nokia Asha smartphones that run on Symbian 40 (for example the Nokia C3). At the moment for users of Nokia Asha devices it is already possible to use WhatsApp to chat with their friends, colleagues and family, share audio files, photos and even their location.

But, unfortunately, they still can’t use the WhatsApp Calling feature since, so far, it is only available for devices that work on iOS, Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry 10. And at this point Nokia Asha users doubt that they will ever be able to use the Calling feature with their devices. So, what changes with this new beta version? Once again, as already happend with the previous beta recently released, also this new WhatsApp version 2.13.9 doesn’t bring any new feature, so it could be possible that the new beta just fixes some bugs and improves the stability of the service.

It has already been noticed that the .jar (installation) file has the same size as the previous version: 1917KB now, 1917KB before the update. So now there are some rumours on the web that developers haven’t actually updated anything, only the version number. What do you think? Might it be possible?

Anyway, if you decide to install version 2.13.9 of WhatsApp for Nokia Asha devices, first of all you need to keep in mind that it’s a Beta version, not yet the stable one, so you have to download the .jar file manually in order to install it on your smartphone. As usual, you can find and download the .jar file from the official WhatsApp website: whatsapp.com/s40. But remember: before installing this new WhatsApp version 2.13.9, you have to first uninstall from your smartphone the one that you are currently using. After that you can easily proceed with the download.
